Policies & Questions
Why does the walk-in clinic occasionally stop accepting new patients about an hour before the posted closing time?
Due to fluctuating patient demand, our physicians may reach their patient capacity before the walk-in clinic is scheduled to close. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please visit the walk-in clinic at least an hour and a half before the posted closing time to ensure that you are seen by a physician.
Appointments
Walk-in patients without appointments will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. You can book an appointment with the Danforth Greenwood Walk-in Clinic by calling us, or by visiting in person.
When visiting the clinic without an appointment for immediate care or treatment, please let the receptionist know the reason for your visit so we can better assist you. Urgent cases may take priority.
If you are requesting services such as a complete physical or a pap smear, please let us know in advance as these services may require a longer booking period.
Test Results
After a test, please inquire regarding the estimated time for the results to arrive, and return for a follow-up with your physician. Unfortunately the walk-in clinic is not able to give test results over the phone.
Referrals
If a referral to a specialist was made for you by one of our physicians, either the walk-in clinic or the specialist’s office will contact you with your appointment information
Forms
Unfortunately because OHIP does not cover the cost of filling out medical forms by doctors, this service will incur an extra charge. We apologize in advance to our patients for the inconvenience.
